Good Morning

Last night I had the strangest dream. I sailed away to China. No, wait wrong story. I dreamt that all those alarms? ringing, buzzing, clanging! The one in the bathroom, the phone, the clock next to me, the kitchen timer, the smoke alarm, whatever, well, those were all set wrong and I was allowed to ignore them and go back to sleep.

Thank God for my wife and the fact that I can rely on her (even better than myself).

Zaa!

I am so torn on the Round Table pizza buffet thing. It is such a good deal. I can’t explain how I feel so strongly that this is a need, something I MUST HAVE. And I know I can’t even go there and have 2 slices. It’s more like 6-8 AND cheese twist bread AND salad. So it’s out. Don’t do that. Have my sandwich. But that is so wrong because I need my pizza. God help me. Maybe we can make my yummy pizza this weekend and I can overdo that, where it is nowhere near as bad as this one? OK I’ll just shut up and eat my sandwich now.

Hot!

I never considered that a “hobby” I admit I like food, eating, spicy food, and eating spicy food. My dad loves to catalog order. So all of my siblings and I are collectors (of the things he orders for us). He gets a hint of what we like, say hot sauces, and then all of a sudden a couple birthdays, Xmases, valentines days later I have a collection of spicy salsa bottles…We all love it. And then when I say the Dave’s Insanity sauce is good, I have 4 huge bottles of something you use “1 drop at a time.” Hehe I guess the “gardening” (that is a few pots of plants) is a hobby, so I like growing them. Nice fresh peppers for yummies… My favorite has been the Fresno Chile, smaller than jalapenos, but looks similar. It is one of few peppers to get hotter when it turns red. And I guess you could call cooling a hobby now, as it seems most ppl sadly have to get take out. What a shame. So good cooking with fresh peppers I made fajitas last night, but I had no (typical) Bell peppers. So I used jalapenos and yellow peppers. I thought it was really good, but Lili (and Erik) thought it was really too hot!

Dr. Visit

So I went to the doctor today. I told him it hurts my broken hand when I carry in the groceries.

He said, “Don’t do that.”

Took 3 meaningless x-rays on my hand and the one angle *I* asked for. We only looked only at that _one_. Saw a bright white area of where we guess it healed last time. Saw no black cracks. Send the pics on to the Radiologist for follow-through observation or for him to look at.

 

Told my doctor my back was getting really annoying and somewhat painful. Clicks, cracks and pops a lot and I wanted an adjustment or a reset or a new one or something. Told him I keep getting visions in my head of some one folding me like a taco and that this would feel very pleasant to me somehow. He said he could send me to a chiropractor, but he didn’t know how much the HMO covers.

Took 4 x-rays of my back, well of my chest actually, but I guess it goes through. Dr. just said the x-rays all  look fine. He told me I have something common probably caused by my desk job. [I believe him on that because after my last review I have been sitting at my desk all the time and not going out to help anyone.] Then he basically prescribed me “aggressive routine of stretching from knees to neck” / yoga and left me wondering why the hell I went there in the first place. Oh yeah, cuz my wife keeps telling me to go because I keep complaining about my hand and back.
